Welcome to Wales Digital College
General
Welcome to this broadband learning service. Here you can learn a variety of new skills and develop new interests. You can also gain on-line certification.
The courses have been designed for students in Wales and, as Wales is a bilingual country, most programmes can be studied through either the medium of Welsh or English. Wales Digital College is happy to allow learners in Europe and the rest of the world to take advantage of the services and sit the assessments. So, if you are not Welsh, please feel welcome.
The courses, which have all been assembled by experts in their fields, range from 20 - 100 hours with an assessment usually being possible after 20 hours study. There are also a few very short taster courses designed to promote interest in some of the more substantial courses.
Please remember that most of these have been designed as broadband courses. They will not all work as well with 56K modems. If you don't have a broadband (fast) connection at home, at work, or in school/college you may find the Digi-Centre database useful. Each course will take up to 5 minutes to load the first time you use it.
Registering for the First Time
The first thing to do is to look through the course list to make sure that there is something of interest to you. If there isn't there is no point registering now but please come back soon as new courses are being added on a regular basis. If a course is imminent but not yet up on site you will be able to register.
The next step - if there is a suitable course - is to register as a student. You will then receive an e-mail confirming your user name and password. You will need these to 'sign in' each time you visit the College.
If you have already registered, please sign in and go straight to your courses.
